Long before Will & Grace, there was Juanga and Rocio
Diamonds are not a girls' best friend, gay guys are. This is proven by two of the most legendary besties, and off the stage - Rocio and Juanga.
If you are not familiar with Juan Gabriel, think of a Mexican Liberace.
If you are not familiar with Rocio Durcal, think of a Spanish Edith Piaf. Rocio actually was known as Queen of the Rancheras.
Their music collaborations were playing in hair salons all over Spanish-speaking countries in the 80’s and 90’s.

Rocio Durcal met Juanga in 1977 and recorded a full album with his greatest hits, in ranchera rhythm.
But like most gay/girl bffs, there was a bit of drama at the end, with rumors saying that Juanga wasn’t so nice to Rocio towards the end of her life.
If you want to have a good cry and transport yourself to Mexico, have a listen here!
Juanga recently passed, and so we remember our fave songbirds, who are now reunited in heaven singing their hearts out.
